Delemetre travels the servants’ passages to Lord Eliv’s room. She listens outside the door. There are voices inside. A groan. Silence.
Delemetre waits for a moment, and slowly opens the door.
“Good afternoon.”
Delemetre jumps slightly, recomposes herself, and turns a cool look to Eliv. “Good afternoon, My Lord.”
He is blocking her view of the room. “Looking for something?”
“I got lost in the passage. I was looking for my master.”
“You are the servant of the other guest, Lord Talor. Come. I will take you to him.”
He steps even closer. Delemetre pretends to drop something and bends to pick it up. She sees the legs and feet of someone lying on the floor behind Eliv.
“Come on, Girl.”
She stands, looking him directly in the eye. “Who is that?” She shoves Eliv aside to see the face of the corpse. It is just another one of Eliv’s thugs. No one she knows. Blood is leaking from a stab wound in his chest.
Eliv grabs her arm in a vice-like grip, and pulls her into the room. “I am sorry, but now that you have seen him, I must insist that you join him.”
Delemetre turns her cool, angry face to his; lightning flashes in her eyes. “You are despicable. You have no respect for life. The ghosts of the countless people you have killed scream for justice.” He twinges slightly at her intense gaze, “Oh, yes, I can hear them. The more you kill, the louder they become. One day, you will find yourself alone with them, and they will have their revenge.”
Delemetre twists free of his grip. Kicks him, and darts from the room. Eliv gets to his feet, screams with rage, and follows.

cosmetics: Claire wears thick black eyeliner and lots of black mascara. She also wears a pearly pink lip gloss. All the rest of her makeup, she wears in neutral tones. Her nails are typically manicured (and pedicured) in a pearly pink or French style with white tips.
strengths: She is compassionate towards others, and readily imparts aid to those in need. She is an Olympic swimmer and and a world famous painter. Her appearance is very striking, most people consider her to be very beautiful and envy her appearance.

CHARACTER: Mach-Be-Soon-Dill-Chomp

Mach-Be-Soon-Dill-Chomp (Mach-Be-Soon-Chomp for short) is a tall, fat, thin, short person weighing 30 tons, 2 ounces. On good days, he romps through the tall grasses of Invalid. We like to think of him as a marvel of incongruity, but in reality he’s not. He is a plain old, down-to-earth, down something. We do not know where he came from or what he likes or how old he is, as he has not told us. He has a great sense of humor.
On summer days, the wind blows and we hope we are downwind. The beauty of the evening sun glistens on the soft, billowy hair of multi-color grey-black. What do you think? I dunno, but he does. Laugh a little. Mach-Be-Soon-Chomp will laugh a lot for you. Save your breath.

Weight: 200 lbs
Hair: Light Brown
Eyes: Blue-Gray, but change lighter or darker with mood
Laterality: Ambidextrous, but prefers doing things right handed
He's a tall, trim man. Fit, athletic, but not an overly bulky physic. He has excellent posture, he tends to be rod straight when he walks and stands. He moves with great ease and gracefullness even for his size. He is very intelligent, both books and street smarts. He has always earned high marks in school, though not perfect (though people wonder why). He seems to have everything going in life but it is hard to get to know him extremely well. He interacts with people but only out of neccessity, he only puts minimal effort into getting to know people. He likes to keep to himself. Combined with his physical stature, it seems to people like he is snobby, lofty or arrogant. When he does interact with people he is attentive and focused and he can make anyone feel comfortable in his presence. He is the type of guy that you love or you love to hate.
He has no parents, at least no memory of them. He has lived on his own for a very long time and is content living alone. You can always find him with at least one book somewhere on him. In a pocket or a bag, he even has a substantial library in his home. A very nice collections of 1st editions and the like.

HOME: Orean - her parents' farm on the edge of the Elven forests to the west and the Dwarven mountains to the north

FAMILY: father-Terry (Dwarf) mother-Vivia (1/2 Elf-1/2 Gnome)
COMPANIONS: Rennio (Elf) and Peter (Human) - both bounty hunters
MAGIC ABILITY: manipulation of sound

JOB: Delemetre is the daughter of a farmer but because of her magic ability and political intrigue she finds herself in the Elven capitol of Mabid. About 400 years after the unification of the Elf and Gnome races the Elves find themselves without a Governor. Many are vying for the job, both good and bad. Delemetre is in the middle of it trying to sort out who's best suited to the job. Rennio and Peter are her protection but do not know what she is supposed to accomplish.
CHARACTERISTICS: the best word to describe her is silence. She does not speak unnecessarily. her movements are deliberate and soundless. even Peter (who is exceptional at what he does) has a difficult time detecting her. if Delemetre wishes to remain hidden, NOONE finds her. and she knows how to handle a battle axe
PERSONALITY: quiet and observant Delemetre is a nice farm girl who wants the best for the Elven people. she can be very expressive in her emotions but often isn't. mostly she only shows anger, but she is not often angry. when she IS angry, watch out. it's not pleasant (not necessarily dangerous), especially if she does not like you.

Skin: Slate Blue and darker
Eyes: Maroon, Gold, and Green
Birthday: Believed to be October 31
The origins of the youth known as Grotesque are a mystery; he doesn’t have clear memories of his life prior to his 12th birthday. He has shadowy memories, but their meanings are unclear.
Grotesque possesses superhuman strength, stamina, and resistance to injury.
He is intelligent, and enjoys creative endeavors as well as problem-solving puzzles and related activities. He spends his leisure time writing and drawing—brushed inks and watercolors are his favorite mediums.
Grotesque is a pacifist by nature, preferring to use his strength to build rather than destroy. He enjoys nature, and spending time among the animals that live around the temple where he and Gorgon (a High Priest- who is also his guardian, teacher and mentor) study, grow their own food, and work to build the temple and it's grounds.

TOPIC: CHARACTER MAP
remember to slap a copyright on your work! if you want to add illustrations to your stuff that's great. as long as it's your own.
ok i think we are ready to roll this ball. every week or two we will ask for new stuff. i do not want be the only one to do that so you will each be asked to contribute. we will rotate. next time someone else will supply the theme. then someone else after that and so on.
we will start with a writing exercise. character maps. it's a quick and simple thing. this will give those who are slow in joining the blog time to do their first post and character map. at least i hope there will be many more joining
