Character: Riah

Name: Riah
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 200 lbs
Hair: Light Brown
Eyes: Blue-Gray, but change lighter or darker with mood
Laterality: Ambidextrous, but prefers doing things right handed

He's a tall, trim man. Fit, athletic, but not an overly bulky physic. He has excellent posture, he tends to be rod straight when he walks and stands. He moves with great ease and gracefullness even for his size. He is very intelligent, both books and street smarts. He has always earned high marks in school, though not perfect (though people wonder why). He seems to have everything going in life but it is hard to get to know him extremely well. He interacts with people but only out of neccessity, he only puts minimal effort into getting to know people. He likes to keep to himself. Combined with his physical stature, it seems to people like he is snobby, lofty or arrogant. When he does interact with people he is attentive and focused and he can make anyone feel comfortable in his presence. He is the type of guy that you love or you love to hate.

He has no parents, at least no memory of them. He has lived on his own for a very long time and is content living alone. You can always find him with at least one book somewhere on him. In a pocket or a bag, he even has a substantial library in his home. A very nice collections of 1st editions and the like.

It figures that he reads a lot of books. I suppose most writers are avid readers! Anyway, I see he is a person with qualities sometimes misunderstood. That's the importance of writing, or at least one aspect of it, to show that things are not always as they seem. But, how is the name pronounced? M

i like this guy. um why would he be someone i'd love to hate? because he is not outgoing?

I'm with "me" - why would you love to hate him? Is he on the Yankees baseball team?

People love to hate him because he does well at everything, handsome, and successful. To some people this also can be very intimidating. On the off chance someone does get anywhere close to him will find out information that really is quite fanstastic about him.

aha! glad to have that cleared up. and i perfectly understand.

I've noticed that if you are aloof, people think you're arrogant or conceited. People tend to hate arrogance in other people. In this case it would be a misunderstanding, he's not arrogant.

I too think I would like him, but the whole 'minimal contact with others' would make me wonder if we were friends or not. Depending on the story though, he would be an intriguing character. I see a mystery... but there are many possibilities. Way to go.
